Right Triangles and Trigonometry

Geometric Mean is the positive number x where:

x2 = ab

  x = Öab

Example: Find geometric mean between 3 and 14.

x2 = (3)(14)

  x = Ö42 = 6.48

Go to MODE and highlight Degree and hit enter

To get the angle measure for #1,
Enter 2nd SIN(12/15) ENTER
you should get 53 degrees.

To get angle measure for #2
Enter 2nd TAN(9/12) ENTER

you should get 36.86 rounded to 37 degrees.
